Stevan Bosanac lives in Sonoma County, California, and works primarily in wood, metal, and mixed materials. He studied art and music for many years, both formally and informally, and has maintained a lifelong creative practice.
Bosanac began with drawing in pencil and ink, moved through graphic design, and spent a decade exploring acrylic painting before turning to sculpture. His transition to three-dimensional work was sparked by a drawing, I Fly By Grace Of The Winds. Asking “Can I build this?,” he began translating his drawings into sculptures and re-discovered a long-held penchant for building things. This process has been a creative and life-affirming journey.
Since creating his first sculpture, Bosanac has embraced the discipline fully, continuing to build and sculpt regularly in his workshop in Petaluma. His work reflects a commitment to exploration, craftsmanship, and the joy of transforming ideas into tangible three-dimensional forms.
